Registrations are now closed.
Registration for the 2018 Hunt 1000 is $129
- GPS file of the route
- 2018 Hunt 1000 sew on patch
- Invitation to the screening of the 2018 Hunt 1000 film
- Your profile on our website (if you choose)
Proceeds from registration will go to a professional drone/videographer who will be following riders along the route between 24 Nov – 1 Dec 2018. The outcome will be a short film that captures the amazing landscapes and experience that make up riding the Hunt 1000. In order to confirm the videographer, enough registrations need to be raised prior to October. The registration price will increase after the 1st Oct 2018. Any remaining funds will be split between admin costs and a donation to the Kosciuszko Huts Association.
We recommend completing all your details in the registration form as these will be shown on our rider profile page (excluding email and phone) along with rider tracking which goes live 24th November.
As per previous years, the Hunt 1000 will start in Canberra and finish in Melbourne however, the route between these two points will change.
The final version of the route (GPS file) will not be made available until late Oct/early Nov, allowing time for final route scouting after the snow season. When the route is finalised, you will be sent the GPS file, as well as details of how to hire a SPOT tracker and register for tracking (note this is an additional cost).
Remember, the GPS file is nothing more than a line on a map to be used at your own discretion, at a time and date of your choice, and in association with your own due diligence. By utilising the GPS file you are accepting full responsibility for your own safety. The GPS file comes with no guarantees with regards to the condition, safety or even existence of a trail. Should you choose to ride the route you do so at your own risk.
